My name is Andy Michaels. At the age of 27, I was diagnosed with Nodular Sclerosing Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (stage IIIB) the week of 5/12/02. As many others before me have done, I decided to chronicle my experiences so that those facing a similar journey may look back and compare to what they went through, or look forward and hopefully get some idea of what to expect from the diagnosis and treatment of this disease.
Following my initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation, I had a relapse of Hodgkin’s in my spleen. I then had an autologous stem cell transplant and achieved remission. Nearly 10 years after my initial diagnosis, I am feeling great mentally and physically. I currently have a mild myleoproliferative disorder, likely a function of all the treatment I received.
Please feel free to read through my experiences, and send me any feedback you may have. Many sincere thanks to all those who have supported me along the way.
